Marshalling is a great way to give something back to the sport you love, and we are immensely grateful to our volunteer marshal team for the part they play on race day at LDST Race Weekends.

We are particularly looking for individuals with considerable mountain experience; marshalling experience and/or first aid or medical knowledge.

As a member of our marshal team, you can expect the following:

Free entry to a future edition of and Lake District Sky Race (subject to vetting for Rab PRE), or to any other comparable mountain running event organised by us
Food and accommodation over the weekend
Fuel expenses for any driving you might do during the event
An event buff and possible sponsor kit
A great time and chance to meet new friends

In return, we will expect the following from you:

A professional appearance and manner
A smiley face
That you wear the uniform and hi-viz clothing supplied
That you come ready with all the relevant clothing and equipment necessary (full details will be supplied email, once your application to marshal has been accepted)
That you come with a flexible approach: you will be volunteering in a dynamic environment where situations may change very quickly – you should understand this, and be prepared to take change in your stride.
