THERE IS NO VETTING IS REQUIRED ON SCAFELL SKY RACE

29km of mountain trails over St Sunday Crag and surrounding Eastern Fells. The SSMR™ is a test of mountain trail skill. An entry level 'sky' type race to whet your appetite for our longer races.

Full of technical trails that are never too much, but will keep you alert and wanting for more.

The St Sunday Mountain Race™ is just that stepping stone you have been waiting for. Trails winding over St Sunday and around the Eastern Fells put the SSMR in the 'skyrunning' realm but allows those without the distance in their legs or confidence in their heads for ridges such as Striding and Swirral Edges to experience what skyrunning in the English Lake District is all about.

The course is a mixture of parts of the old Lakes Sky Ultra with some new bits added in without the ultra and extreme elements to it. However, do not be mistaken, its still a highly technical race and full of surprises.
