Travel to Ambleside

By car:

From the South: take junction 36 off the M6, following signs to Windermere (A590 into A591). Follow the A591 to Ambleside. Follow the one way system through the village, bearing left towards Keswick. Drive past the roundabout for The Struggle then take a right hand turn into Ambleside University Campus.

From the North: take junction 40 off the M6 at Penrith, following signs West to Keswick on the A66. At first roundabout (Rheged Services) take 2nd exit for Pooley Bridge. At first junction, turn right for Glenridding/Patterdale and drive through both villages, climbing up to Kirkstone Pass. Opposite the Kirkstone Inn, turn right to Ambleside, down The Struggle. Parking: There are a variety of all day car parks in Ambleside, and the closest to the event centre is the pay-and-display car park at Rydal Road. Please do not park on residential streets: as race organisers, we rely on the residents of the village.
